We are a wine shop that explores the best of both worlds with retail shopping and a walk-in tasting room open Tuesday through Sunday. Our tasting room selections change monthly and always focus on a different "Old World" and "New World" region. The ever-changing menu allows our guests to constantly explore and discover something new. This month we are exploring Northern Spain and Argentina. Order a flight of all four wines or simply stop by, shop, and enjoy a glass. It's up to you!

With a winemaking history dating back to 1,000 B.C., tradition clearly runs deep when it comes to wine culture in Spain. Recognized as one of the top three "old world" wine producing countries, our tasting room is focused on a few northern regions this month. We have dialed into Pais Vasco in Basque country, producing the refreshing and uncomplicated wines called "Txakoli"; the northwest region of Galicia known for salty fresh Albarino; and the mountainous Bierzo with its array of perfumed and spicy reds built around the Mencia grape. As modern Spain is actually seeing a bit of a wine renaissance, we hope you will find time to come in and explore the depth coming from this slice of the country.

Northern Spain Flight

Home to a wide range of landscapes, Argentina is the largest wine producing country in South America. Winemaking has been influenced over centuries by the Spanish and Italians, but most of the grapes that have ultimately settled here are French varietals. Famous for Malbec from Mendoza, a range of other grapes including Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Bonarda, and Chardonnay are all widely cultivated throughout the country. Wine production in general relies heavily on the Andes mountain range that runs north/south through the country. With the average vineyard height of 3,000 ft, the high altitude temperature swings allow for plenty of daytime sunshine with cool acid-retaining temps at night. Our tasting this month will showcase a wide range from high elevation Torrontes in the North to lower elevation Pinot Noir in Patagonia. Of course we will showcase high quality tastes of Malbec in between!
