Alto Limay is a collaboration between Paul Hobbs Selections and Familia Schroeder formed with the goal to develop Pinot Noir production out of Patagonia. Vineyards lie in the province of Neuquén 380 miles south of Mendoza and sit on a soil of silt and sand with a bedrock of limestone below. Short sunny days allow for a long cool growing season, ideal for Pinot Noir, however the wind is a major factor here, promoting skin thickness which in turn leads to wines of more tannin and structure. 

The 2018 Alto Limay is young and fresh with textured red fruits such of pomegranate, strawberry, and cherry. Damp earth and spices compliment the freshness of the wine and there is an evident minerality leading to mouthwatering acidity and a long finish.
