Forlorn Hope Semillon 'Nacré'
WINE TYPE: White
COUNTRY: United States
APPELLATION: Napa Valley
Planted in the 1950's all wines from the Hoxsey family are organically tended and dry farmed. The Nacré is produced in the same fashion as the Semillon's of Australia's Hunter Valley; layered, rich, racy, and focused with the capability of aging.
Aromatics of candied oranges, lemon zest and a bit of nuttiness. The palate is juicy without being overly acidic and fruit forward without being a fruit bomb.
