We love the vibrant, pure, and gloriously thirst-quenching high-altitude Garnacha's made by Comando G in the barren hills of Sierra de Gredos. But while these wines being made by Fernando García and Daniel Jiménez-Landi are virtually impossible to acquire these days you can taste the excitement at a very attractive price here, in a wine grown under their supervision and made by them at their local co-op.

Like all the Comando G wines, this is 100% Garnacha from vines 20-70 years old at elevations of 1,600 - 3,200 feet.  Importer Eric Soloman choose the lots to go into this stellar value cuvee.  Only 2,500 bottles produced. 

Aromatics of citrus such as orange and tangerine with a backbone of smoke.  The palate is juicy and fruit forward with an approachable and elegant balance between tannins and acidity.
