Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc
WINE TYPE: White
The Leflaive family history in Burgundy begins in 1717 when Claude Leflaive put down roots in Puligny-Montrachet with intent of cultivating vineyards. Fast forward to the early 1900s and Joseph Leflaive's purchases of surrounding vineyards and houses brings the domaine to how it is known today; extending over 24 hectares of which 4.8 are grand crus and 10.8 are premier crus! Domaine remians and entirely family domaine to this day.
Domaine Leflaive is one of the pioneers of bio-dynamic viticulture in Burgundy, and was completely converted to by 1996. In the cellars the same amount of respect presides over the entire wine making process and follows the purest Burgundian traditions.
