When Nicole Chanrion began her career in the 1970's, women were pushed into the enology labs and out of the cellars.  Oh how times have thankfully changed.  With six generations of family preceding her, she literally grew up in the fields, in the cellars and yes, in the enology labs.  

This is a vintage sparkling wine, although Nicole uses a non-vintage label.  Vinified in the méthode champenoise, you could not ask for a more beautiful Thanksgiving toast wine.  Aromatics of biscuit with lots of crisp white fruit and citrus. The gamay character comes through on the palate, showing the light, high-toned red fruit and savory notes that come with a proper cru Beaujolais.
