Les Banquettes Escarpées Rasteau

Sourced from vineyards on the same ridge as Cairanne, these south facing slopes gained their own AC in 2010.  The Syrah is from younger vines and adds a freshness and elegance to the dark, spicy Grenache.  

This wine is powerful with tons of oaky black fruit on the nose.  The palate is expressive with firm tannins and a savory, almost toasty finish.
