The American Wine Project was founded by Erin Rasmussen, a Wisconsin native, in 2018. She has experience making wine in Napa Valley and even New Zealand where she earned her masters degree in viticulture. Erin solely works with hybrid grapes, crosses between native American grapes and vinifera (commonly known wine grapes). She takes the minimal intervention approach, relying on native yeast for fermentation. Wines are bottle unfined and unfiltered.

This bottle is 100% LaCrosse from Harrison Hollow Vineyard in Viroqua Wisconsin. It provides rich minerality with notes of salty lemon curd and almond.
