Grgić Vina Plavac Mali

Established in 1996 by legendary Napa winemaker, Croatian-born Milenko Grgich and his daughter Violet.  In the early nineties, Grgich found that ZInfandel was actually born out of the native Croatian grape varietal Plavac Mali.  The nose is alive with sweet red cherries, ripe black berries, juicy oranges, rose petals and a touch of saffron.  The palate is medium bodied with subdued tannins and a blend of spice and dark fruit.
