Salomon Undhof Alma Riesling Amphora

Talk about OG. One of the best Austrian producers.  PERIOD!  How times have changed, yet stayed the same, since 1792. 

Alma is essentially a wine produced from ripe and healthy Riesling grapes fermented in the amphora method buried in the garden next to the winery and the apricot orchard.  The first vintage of the Alma was 2011.  Aromatics show tons of white flowers, honeydew melon and tangerine.  The wine is rich on the front part of the palate with elegant acidity and a touch of herbs.
