After tasting Washington State Syrah in New York City, Master Sommelier Gregg Harrington became so enthralled, he relocated from Manhattan to Walla Walla and started Gramercy Cellars in 2005. The Les Colllines vineyard at the base of the Blue Mountains in Walla Walla just so happens to be the vineyard of the Syrah that inspired Gregg so many years ago. Fruit from this vineyard also became the source for some of Gramercy's very first wines.

Fermented whole cluster on native yeast, the fermentation took place over approximately three weeks in a combination of concrete and stainless steel. Aging took place in neutral barrel for 17 months prior to bottling. A combination of floral, green herb and olive aromas lead into fresh blue and red fruits. Tannins are moderate and a the vibrant acidity gives the wine a wonderful freshness and long finish.
