Alheit Vineyards is a family business started in 2010 by husband and wife team Chris and Suzaan Alheit. They met at Stellenbosch University, fell in love, travelled the world together, got married, then eventually settled on Hemelrand farm close to Hermanus and started their project. This cuveé is composed of rare and extraordinary parcels of mature dryland bushvines, of the heritage grapes Chenin Blanc and Sémillon. These grapes have been planted in the Cape for centuries.
The aromatics are just beautiful. Super ripe pair, citrus fruit and rind with a touch of herb. The palate is pure, rich and weighted, but the acidity is plentiful making this wine simply perfect.
